As an Eastbourne wedding photographer, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of capturing a couple’s most precious moments against the backdrop of a stunning location. Recently I had the privilege of photographing Kris and Chrissy’s wedding at The View Hotel in the picturesque town of Eastbourne.

The whole day centered around The View Hotel, which, as the name suggests, had a gorgeous view of the seafront. Both the bride and groom were getting ready here, and the place was buzzing with anticipation and excitement.

The ceremony took place in a beautifully made up room at the hotel, complete with fairy lights, floral arrangements, and personal touches that reflected Kris and Chrissy’s love story. Once the guests were seated, and Kris, along with his groomsmen all neatly lined up, the stunning bride made her entrance. Walking to meet her groom to the vocals of Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years, with her mum by her side, Chrissy embraced all the emotions that that special moment brings. There was barely a dry eye in the room.

After the ceremony, we all headed downstairs to the front of the hotel for some group shots. Everyone was in such good spirits, that getting a picture-perfect shot, was really easy!

Later in the day, as the golden hour hit, we headed to the seafront, and a lovely walk along the pier for some more intimate shots of the couple. The pier’s charm and the gentle sound of the waves created a serene and romantic setting, off-set by roars of laughter from the happy couple. The playful and tender interactions between them made for some truly memorable shots.

We then returned to the dancefloor, where the party was in full swing. Guests were toasting and cheering, children were playing, and the couple were just lost in the moment. As a photographer, it was a privilege to document these moments and to be a part of such a special day.

This was my first wedding in Eastbourne, and what a wedding it was! The town’s vibe and atmosphere, along with the stunning scenery offer endless opportunites for creating timeless images. Kris and Chrissy’s wedding was a perfect reminder of why I love what I do. Each click of the shutter is a chance to preserve a fleeting moment of love and happiness, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
