How many hours should we book the photographer for?
It depends on what you need and what you can afford. Average coverage is between 8-10 hours. This covers from bridal prep through to the first dance, but does depend on your timetable. If you need longer or shorter coverage, then I can easily accommodate your needs.
How many photos do we get in a wedding package?
Us photographers always go for quality over quantity. For an 8 – 10 hour shoot, I will aim to deliver between 500-600 photos.
Do we need to provide food for a wedding photographer?
Two words – yes please! Us photographers are a part of your day, and we work especially hard to ensure that all those special moments are captured.
Do we need two photographers at our wedding?
The biggest advantages of two photographers are:
– Multiple angles of ceremony, speeches and bride and groom prep
– More pictures of guests
– More candid images
Do wedding photographers deliver all photos?
In a word, no. Why is this? Well, first and foremost is copyright. The RAW files mean we can keep control over ownership of the original file. As soon as the RAW file is out of our hands, it becomes easy for someone to claim it and make it their own. It protects us as creators, but it also protects you, so that your images don’t end up in the hands of someone else, without your permission. We do however deliver the beautifully edited JPEG files for you to use to your heart’s content!
How long do the group and portrait shots take to shoot?
For groups – this depends on how long your list is. Each shot will take about 2-3 minutes to assemble, so if you multiply that by the number of groups in your list, you should get an estimate.
For portraits, these can be as long as you want them to be! From 10 minutes to 30 minutes, or even longer. It’s entirely up to you and what you want from your special day.
